POSITION 6: HIGHWAY 1 - BIG SUR (CALIFORNIA)
Torniamo negli Stati Uniti, lungo la costa ovest, dove scorre una delle strade probabilmente più famose al mondo. Parliamo ovviamente della mitica Highway 1 (California State Route 1), la strada panoramica lunga più di 1000 chilometri che collega San Francisco a Los Angeles.

E proprio a Monterey non potete assolutamente perdervi la "17-mile drive" una strada scenografica con pochi eguali che va da Pacific Grove a Pebble Beach. Pagando una sorta di biglietto d'ingresso di 10 dollari per veicolo, percorrerete le splendide 17 miglia tra splendidi campi da golf e ville da sogno.
In Monterey you can not miss the "17-mile drive", a scenic road (with few equals in the entire world) from Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach. Paying a sort of entrance fee of $ 10 per vehicle, you could drive along the beautiful 17 miles of beautiful golf courses and houses.

E se volete la ciliegina sulla torta, fermatevi in una delle tante spiagge e, insieme ai famosi bagnini stile baywatch "pucciate" i piedi nell'oceano. No, il bagno lasciatelo fare ai californiani che sono abituati. L'acqua è fredda, decisamente fredda, nonostante in California faccia caldo sostanzialmente tutto l'anno.
