ARIZONA, NEVADA ED UNA SPRUZZATA DI UTAH E CALIFORNIA
L'idea è di riprendere qualche luogo che abbiamo solamente toccato per un brevissimo tempo, ed inserire alcune perle della natura che ancora ci mancano, su tutte l'Antelope Canyon. Arriveremo a Phoenix da New York e da lì partirà un on the road di 11 giorni che ci porterà ad attraversare da sud a nord l'intera Arizona sino ad arrivare in Utah, poi scenderemo fino a Las Vegas e toccheremo anche un pizzico di California quando finiremo nella Death Valley. Il piano di viaggio, che abbiamo già cambiato non meno di quindici volte e che cambieremo almeno altre dieci, dovrebbe però essere indicativamente pronto, almeno per quanto concerne i punti cardine del nostro viaggio, ovvero l'iniziale visita ai luoghi del profondo sud come Tucson e Tombstone, all'incantevole Sedona, al Grand Canyon, a Page con il suo Horseshoe Band, l'Antelope Canyon ed il lago Powell, il Bryce Canyon, il Zion, la Valley of Fire, la Death Valley e, se riusciremo, anche l'Area 51.
Come sempre quando si vuol visitare queste zone, ed in particolare il nord dell'Arizona gestito dagli indiani navajo, bisogna prenotare con largo anticipo i motel per non rischiare di dover all'ultimo pagare prezzi ancor più alti di quelli che già troverete prenotando ora.

The idea is to resume some places that we have only touched for a very short time, and add some pearls of nature we can't really miss, for example Antelope Canyon. We'll get to Phoenix from New York and from the most important city of Arizona it will start a 11-day long on the road that take us to cross (from south to north) the entire state of Arizona until arriving in Utah, then go down to Las Vegas touching even a little bit of California with the Death Valley. We've already changed the travel plan at least 10-15 times and we will change it at least 10 times again. But key points of our trip are safe: we are talking about the south south of Arizona (Tucson and Tombstone), the enchanting Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Page with its Horseshoe Band, Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Zion and the Valley of Fire, Death Valley and, if it will be possible, even Area 51. As always when you want to visit these areas, and in particular the northern Arizona run by the Navajo Indians, you have to book motels in advance to avoid the risk of having to pay higher prices.

Da Tucson a Phoenix passando per il Saguaro National Park, circondati dai cactus da sempre simbolo dell'Arizona. Ci fermeremo anche a Scottsdale per visitare la sua Old Town.

Da Phoenix a Sedona: visiteremo una delle città più viste dell'Arizona, con le sue rocce rossastre e colori incredibili. L'obiettivo è fermarsi anche allo Slide Rock State park per "sfruttare" gli scivoli d'acqua naturali che solo uno stato come l'Arizona può regalare

I tre giorni a Las Vegas. Sul cosa fare a Las Vegas di sera non ci sono dubbi, visitare tutti gli hotel! Di giorno invece è più complicato se non si vuol stare solamente in piscina. Noi puntiamo a fare tre escursioni nei tre giorni in cui pernotteremo lì. Il giorno uno percorreremo le 150 miglia che separano Vegas e la Death Valley e visiteremo il parco, il giorno successivo sarà la volta della maestosa diga di Hoover e, nell'ultimo, last but not least, proveremo ad avvicinarci il più possibile all'Area 51. Sempre che non ci rapiscano gli alieni...
We'll spend the last three days in Las Vegas. There are no doubts about what to do in Vegas in the evening, visit all the hotels will be our goal!
