Solitamente, quando si pensa a Toronto, ci si immagina la solita immensa città nord americana, fatta di grattacieli e strade che s'intrecciano. Eppure, una delle città sicuramente più affascinanti al mondo, ha tantissimo altro da offrire, anche a livello naturalistico. No, non stiamo parlando delle Niagara Falls che distano comunque solo un'ora e mezza dalla città dell'Ontario, ma di un luogo distante una manciata di miglia dal centro cittadino. Un autentico gioiellino che, ancora oggi, è il segreto meglio conservato della città di Toronto, Scarborough Bluffs.

Visitare Scarborough Bluffs è semplicissimo. Ed impiegherete solamente una ventina di minuti a raggiungerli provenendo da Toronto. Davanti a voi si apriranno 15 km di bellezze sorprendenti. I bluff si estendono lungo le rive del Lago Ontario, dalle spiagge orientali della città di Toronto ad ovest, sino a West Hill a est.

Visiting Scarborough Bluffs is very simple. It just takes only twenty minutes to reach it coming from Toronto. 9 miles of amazing beauties will show up in front of you. COME RAGGIUNGERE SCARBOROUGH BLUFFS
Raggiungere Scarborough Bluffs è piuttosto semplice. Impostate nel vostro gps innanzitutto la città di Scarborough (che dà il nome anche al luogo). Ad un certo punto la strada comincerà a salire e vi troverete in un bellissimo quartiere, che culminerà con il Scarboorugh Crescent Park (2 Cecil Crescent, Scarborough).

HOW TO GET TO SCARBOROUGH BLUFFS
Getting to Scarborough Bluffs is quite simple. First set in your GPS the city of Scarborough (which also gives its name to this amazing place). At some point the road will begin to rise and you'll be crossing a beautiful neighborhood. Drive till you get to the Scarboorugh Crescent Park (2 Cecil Crescent, Scarborough).

Parcheggiate ai bordi della strada e percorrete una cinquantina di metri sino a raggiungere Scarborough Bluffs, la vostra meta. Se non si ha a disposizione un autovettura, la soluzione migliore è la metro (linea verde) sino a Victoria Park. Da qui prendete il bus numero 12.

Just park on the side of the road and walk about fifty meters until you reach Scarborough Bluffs, your final destination. If you aren't driving a car, the best way to get to Scarborough Bluffs is by subway (green line) till Victoria Park. From here take bus number 12.

Il modo migliore per ammirare i bluffs è il trail di 4.6 km che parte dalla spiaggia e risale il crinale sino a raggiungere la scogliera. L'attacco del trail è situato a ridosso della Scarborough Bluffs Park Beach (52 Bluffers Park, Scarborough). Per chi si accontenterà del "view point", dobbiamo ricordare che superare la staccionata che delimita lo Scarborough Crescent Park è illegale poichè a causa dell'erosione e delle inondazioni, l'area è soggetta a collassi.

The best way to admire the bluffs is the 4.6 km trail that starts from the beach and goes up the ridge until you reach the cliff. The trail's starting point is located near the Scarborough Bluffs Park Beach (52 Bluffers Park, Scarborough). For those who just want get to the "view point", we must remember that overcoming the fence that borders the Scarborough Crescent Park is illegal: the area is subject to collapse due to erosion and flooding.
