New York City, Cape Cod and... "The real America" (day 5, 6 and 7)

Quando parliamo di Cape Cod parliamo di casa. I classici cinque giorni in cui ci rilassiamo e prepariamo in vista dei vari trip, i giorni in cui siamo... americani. Ed essere americani a Cape Cod ed in tutta l'area che ha Boston come città di riferimento francamente non ha eguali,  uno di quei quindici-venti posti al mondo dove varrebbe la pena vivere.

We consider Cape Cod as home. Five days where we relax before starting the trips, the days where ... we are Americans. And being Americans on Cape Cod and throughout the area around Boston has no equal, one of those fifteen to twenty places in the world where it worth living. 

Certo poi siamo anche fortunati ed è grazie a Mark, Simona, Chuck e Janice (che ci hanno ospitato quest'anno), Alex, Little Alex, Paul, Nick, Mike, Alex, John and Emily che i cinque giorni nel Cape sono sempre e di gran lunga non solo i cinque giorni più belli del nostro viaggio, ma anche i cinque giorni più belli dell'anno.

Well, we are also lucky and thanks to Mark, Simona, Chuck and Janice (who hosted us this summer), Alex, Little Alex, Paul, Nick, Mike, Alex, John and Emily the five days in Cape Cod are always not only the best days of the trip, but even the best of the entire year.

Del "cosa fare" e "cosa vedere" a Boston e Cape Cod ne abbiamo già parlato qui (Boston e Cape Cod) e, ormai, tutto quello che c'era da vedere l'abbiamo visto. Ma da persone con sangue italiano-greco-americano qualcosa di "pazzo" può sempre saltar fuori. E allora proviamo per la prima volta il fascino di Halloween, con il suo "trick or treat" anche se siamo ad agosto...

We have already explained what to see and what to do in Boston and Cape Cod (Boston e Cape Cod) and we've already seen all the things this area offers. But people with italian-greek-american blood are always crazy and so... let's experience for the first time Halloween even if it's summer!

E, dulcis in fundo, siamo talmente "capecodiani" che le nostre foto finiscono addirittura sul giornale.

And, last but not least, we are so "capecodians" that our pictures are even on the newspaper!

Un consiglio? Se mai vi capiterà di andare a New York, noleggiate la macchina, percorrete i 300 chilometri che separano la Grande Mela e fermatevi 3-4 giorni a Boston e nei suoi dintorni.

An advice? If you are going to New York, you should rent a car, drive for 300km and spend four or five days in Boston and Cape Cop.
