La Baviera con un tocco di magia (part 1)

Anche un'esperienza lavorativa può diventare occasione di viaggio. E così, approfittando della settimana spesa dall'Ale in fiera a Norimberga, ci siamo concessi un fine settimana di relax tra il centro economico e culturare della Franconia, Monaco e molto altro ancora. L'apertura è dedicata proprio a Norimberga, il cui centro storico è molto interessante. Da una parte le mura con il castello imperiale...

Even a job experience can become an opportunity to travel. So, taking advantage of the week spent by Ale at the exibithion in Nuremberg, we have found a way to make this experience wonderful with a week end spent between Nuremberg, Munich and much more. The opening is dedicated to Nuremberg, whose historical center is very attractive. Between the walls of the imperial palace ...

che varrebbe la pena visitare durante il periodo natalizio, ovvero quello dei mercatini. Ma quando sei a Norimberga non puoi non mangiare i mitici "wurstel di Norimberga" (bratwurst) e quale ristorante migliore del Nassauer Keller? Situato nel centro, non appena entrati una scalinata vi porterà nei sotterranei...

During Christmas season is one of the best place on earth. But when you're in Nuremberg you are forced to eat the legendary "Nuremberg sausage" (bratwurst), and what is better than the Nassauer Keller restaurant? Located in the center, upon entering a staircase will take you to the basement ...

Ma siamo o no qui per questi famosi bratwurst? E allora assaggiamoli, rigorosamente accompagnati da crauti ed una weiss fresca.

Are we here for the famous bratwurst or not? C'mon, let's taste them, strictly accompanied by sauerkraut and a fresh weiss beer. 

Per chi necessitasse di riferimenti temporali, basta mezza giornata per visitare Norimberga (noi ci abbiamo impiegato una sera). La mattina successiva, dopo una notte non facile complice la scomodità dei letti (pessimo hotel) siamo, infatti, di nuovo in pista in direzione Monaco (dove faremo tappa), una città che abbiamo già visto lo scorso anno ma che non può non valere una fermata. Colazione "fai da te" (avevamo con noi la macchina del caffè grazie alla fiera...) e via...Ma dove andiamo? Diluvia... L'idea era quella di fermarsi a visitare Augsburg, ma la pioggia porta... birra! E allora via verso Kulmbach, anche se allunghiamo di duecento chilometri (100 ad andare, altrettanti a tornare) la strada...

For those who need infos about how long you should stay in Nuremberg, we answer saying just half day. We spent there just an evening... The next morning, after a night not easy thanks to beds not very nice (very bad hotel) we are, in fact, back on track: direction Munich, a city that we visited last year but which may nalways worth a stop. Breakfast homemade (we had the coffee machine with us, thanks to the exibithion...) and go!Well, where are we going? It's raining! Our idea was to stop in Augsburg, but Ale has a brilliant idea: lets' go to Kulmbach (100km north of Nuremberg)...

Dove ha sede la storica fabbrica della Kulmbacher (la nostra birra preferita!) e dove in estate oltre 120mila persone occorrono per la festa della birra (26 luglio - 3 agosto). Noi siamo qui perchè vogliamo visitare il museo della birra e, con il ticket "doppio", anche quello del pane.

Where is located the Kulmbach beer factory (our favorite beer!) and where (in the summer time) more than 120 thousand people come to assist to the Beer Festival (July 26-August 3). We are here because we want to visit the museum of beer and even the bread museum.

Compreso nel ticket (6 euro a testa), è compreso anche un assaggio di pane e un bicchierone di birra. What else?

With the tickets (€ 6 each), we get  taste of bread and a glass of beer as well. What else? 

Lasciata Kulmbach ci aspettano a questo punto 300 chilometri (invece del centinaio abbondante che la separano da Norimberga) per raggiungere Monaco. Ma siamo pronti a questo e altro, dato che grazie ad un clamoroso prezzo offerto da hotels.com (99 euro) alloggeremo allo Sheraton. Dopo l'esperienza di Salt Lake City ci aspettiamo molto e ancora una volta non rimaniamo delusi. Per noi è pure troppo: bagno turco, sauna, piscina all'ultimo piano. E poi con questo tramonto...

Leaving Kulmbach, there are at least 300 km to get to Munich. But we are ready for this and more, because thanks to a sensational price offered by hotels.com (€ 99) we will stay at the Sheraton. After the experience in Salt Lake City we are excited and once again we are right. For us it's maybe too much: turkish bath, sauna, swimming pool on the top floor. And then this sunset ... 

Non vorremmo neppure uscire, ma è sera e la fame chiama. Acquistiamo i biglietti della metro ed i una decina di minuti siamo a Marktplatz: ceneremo come l'anno scorso nell'affollatissimo Haxnbauer,..

We would not even come out, but it's time for dinner. In ten minutes we are at Marktplatz: like last year we dine in the crowded Haxnbauer .. 

dove domina lo stinco di maiale. I prezzi sono però esagerati come in molti altri ristoranti del centro e allora... via di bratwurst anche qui!

where the specialty is pork shank. Prices are however very high so we opt for "our" bratwurst even here!
